Scams
Radio reports this morning of members of the public receiving scam text messages to their mobile telephones indicating they were eligible for insurance claims as the result of accidents.

Others were receiving text messages which indicated that they should reply "stop" if they no longer wished to receive same - the outcome being that any reply to these messages incurred a large charge circa £10 which no doubt went to the originator.

If you receive any dubious emails or text messages do not respond simply delete them of your system preferably without opening them if possible.

Genuine communications on such matters will no doubt be written and relate to details that you will already be aware of.

In relation to the foreign lottery letters that many receive - if you didn't enter the lottery or any other competition you cannot have won it. Bin it.
