Hit and Run Road Traffic Collision
On 11/06/09 around 10pm a red Vauxhall Astra, registration UBZ 1704 (the offending vehicle) was driving at speed down Lurganure Road, braked sharply, skidded and crashed into a wall of a property on Lurganure Road, demolishing a 9 foot section of it! The vehicle then bounced back, and hit another car on the road.
When the occupants of the second vehicle got out to speak to the occupants in the offending car, to check if they were ok, they sped off.
The details of the offending vehicle were noted as a red Vauxhall Astra, registration UBZ 1704, with 'R' plates up. The driver was described as about 18-20 years old, with dark hair
Police believe they know the identity of the driver / owner but it is believed he has also moved out of his address to avoid police.
